Jobs of the Future: Not What You Might Think

In the NY Review of Books, Andrew Hacker reviews several recent studies of the state of the US workforce.  The table below is one of the most interesting things in a very interesting article.  It shows Bureau of Labor Statistics projections for high-growth occupations, from 2008 to 2018.  However, unlike most analyses, it doesn’t show the rate of growth, it shows the number of jobs.  And the results are a little surprising:
