This past May, we helped the New York State Economic Development Council issue a report on how to improve Start-Up NY. The Council is now convening meetings around the state to move the report’s recommendations forward. According to the NYSEDC’s executive director Brian McMahon’s recent report:
NYSEDC, SUNY, and private higher ed institutions are collaborating to conduct three follow-on regional forums later this year to engage stakeholders in discussions on how to better collaborate at the local level to maximize the potential of the program. Both SUNY and NYSEDC have appointed representatives to develop the agenda for these regional forums, with a goal that the forums can become self-sustaining by regional participants. In the next few weeks, forum dates and locations and an agenda will be sent to NYSEDC members.
